8th China (Taishan) International Mining Equipment and Technology Exhibition Opens in Tai'an, Drawing Nearly 300 Exhibitors

On August 31, the 8th China (Taishan) International Mining Equipment and Technology Exhibition officially opened at the Taishan International Convention and Exhibition Center. Themed "Upgrading the Smart Mine Industry, Leading the Future with Intelligent Innovation," the exhibition focuses on the entire mining equipment industry chain and has drawn nearly 300 companies from 21 provinces and municipalities across China. Major players, including central state-owned enterprises such as China Coal Technology and Engineering Group and provincial leading enterprises like Jining Energy, were well represented. Together, they showcased advanced scientific research achievements and technological applications from both home and abroad, striving to build a comprehensive industry platform integrating exhibition, cooperation, trading, and development.

Stepping into the Taishan International Convention and Exhibition Center, visitors were greeted by a bustling atmosphere and vibrant exchanges. A series of cutting-edge equipment was unveiled, comprehensively covering core sectors such as general mining equipment, smart construction equipment, coal conversion equipment and technology, and mineral processing equipment and technology. Ranging from primary high-efficiency energy-saving auxiliary fans and shield-type hydraulic roof supports to embodied AI shotcreting robots for mining, the exhibits spanned the entire application scenarios of smart mining and excavation, underground 5G, digital twins, green mining, and safety and emergency response. They vividly demonstrated the strong momentum of the mining equipment sector advancing toward high-end, intelligent, and green development.

Among the numerous frontier technologies, the differentiated products showcased by Shandong Haina Intelligent Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. drew particular attention. In an interview, Zhu Kai, Chairman of the company, introduced that the newly launched axial flux motor is a first in the mining sector. Its volume is reduced by more than half compared to traditional motors, while its performance is significantly improved by 50% under the same power output. This breakthrough is of great significance for underground operations where space is highly constrained and power demands are extremely high. In addition, the fiber-optic condition monitoring system for belt conveyors attracted many professional visitors. Innovatively utilizing fiber-optic sensors, the device can monitor in real time all rotating parts of belt conveyors up to 10 kilometers long. By collecting vibration data and transmitting it to ground-based AI servers for automatic analysis, it enables precise early prediction of component failures. Zhu Kai noted, "Participating in the exhibition not only helps enhance our corporate brand but also greatly benefits market expansion. Most visitors are experts in the mining field who have shown strong interest in our differentiated products. Face-to-face communication allows clients to gain a deeper understanding of our products, which is extremely helpful for promotion."

The exhibition serves not only as a window to showcase cutting-edge equipment but also as a bridge for enterprises to deepen cooperation and expand markets. Xu Rui, Sales Manager at Shandong Zhongan Complete Equipment Co., Ltd., shared his experience at the event on-site. He said, "Participating in this exhibition has been highly rewarding. We have established connections with multiple peers and supporting suppliers, and gained valuable insights for further optimizing our supply chain and upgrading equipment technology." In Xu Rui's view, gaining an intuitive understanding of the various equipment on display enables a more accurate grasp of industry trends and product details, which is of substantial help for subsequent equipment upgrades and market development. He concluded that the exhibition has basically achieved its expected goals, successfully identifying targeted matchmaking opportunities that align with the company's development strategy and laying a solid foundation for expanding its business footprint.

Looking back on its development, the China (Taishan) International Mining Equipment and Technology Exhibition has grown increasingly significant in the industry. Since its inception in 2013, the exhibition has been successfully held for seven editions. From its humble beginnings with 171 exhibitors and a 20,000-square-meter scale at the first edition, to recent peaks attracting around 500 companies, a 40,000-square-meter exhibition area, and over 30,000 professional visitors, the event has achieved leapfrog development. Thanks to its outstanding organization and industry influence, the exhibition has been awarded titles such as "China Regional Brand Exhibition" and "Shandong Provincial Well-Known Brand Exhibition," steadily growing into the most influential professional mining equipment exhibition in eastern China.

It is reported that this year's three-day exhibition will also host thematic forums and a series of concurrent events to deepen industry exchanges. These events have invited renowned domestic mining management experts, technical experts, entrepreneurs, and economists to conduct in-depth discussions on core topics such as the development of new quality productive forces in the energy sector, the policy orientation of the "dual carbon" goals, and trends in mining equipment technology. This will not only help promote communication, interaction, and coordinated development between the mining equipment and intelligent technology industries but also inject strong momentum into assisting enterprises in expanding domestic and international markets and driving the high-quality development of the industry.
