On August 21, the 34th Guangzhou Expo, hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, officially opened at the Canton Fair Complex. Themed "Integrating Advanced Manufacturing and Modern Services for Enhanced Quality and Efficiency, Smoothing Circulation towards the Future," the expo features a total exhibition area of approximately 200,000 square meters. It has gathered over 5,000 exhibitors and nearly 10,000 professional buyers, with government delegations from more than 50 provinces and municipalities across the country participating as exhibitor groups. Together, they have created a grand event that seamlessly integrates industry exchange with public engagement. The expo will run through August 23.

The integration of advanced manufacturing and modern services is a crucial engine for China's current high-quality economic development. As an international trade center and the core engine of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou enjoys unique advantages in driving the deep integration of these two sectors. This year's Guangzhou Expo focuses on three major sectors of technology, health, and consumption, meticulously laying out five featured zones: Intelligent Manufacturing, the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project" and Rural Revitalization, Silver Economy and Elderly Care, Medical and Health Industry, and Quality Consumption. The exhibition floor hosts several heavyweight professional zones, including the 12th International Invention Exhibition, the Omni-Domain Unmanned Systems and Guangzhou City Image Exhibition, the Intelligent Robot Exhibition, the 10th Guangzhou International Elderly Care and Health Industry Expo, the 2026 Guangzhou Medical and Health Industry Expo, the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project" Industrial Cooperation Exhibition, and the 2026 Guangzhou International Craft Beer and Alcoholic Beverage Manufacturing Equipment Expo. Through comprehensive and multi-dimensional displays, the Guangzhou Expo is striving to build a premier networking hub for industry, providing precise matchmaking and in-depth cooperation opportunities for delegations and global buyers alike. The participation of government delegations from over 50 provinces and municipalities not only demonstrates the expo's powerful national reach and appeal but also marks a new phase of closer and more efficient cross-regional industrial collaboration.

Among the many exhibition zones, the Robot Performance Zone is undoubtedly the most popular highlight this year. The zone brings together top domestic robotics brands such as Unitree, Zhongqing Robotics, and Agibot, showcasing over 100 cutting-edge devices, including humanoid, industrial, and bionic robots. On-site, robots identical to those used in Wang Leehom's concerts perform a stunning synchronized dance with human dancers; combat robots equipped with boxing gloves engage in intense live bouts; and soccer robots interact with children in fun matches on the pitch, drawing cheers from the audience. To enhance the tech experience for the public, especially the youth, the Robot Performance Zone offers free admission for children aged 12 and under when accompanied by an adult, with a special robot performance scheduled every hour. To accommodate parents visiting with their children after work, the robot shows will be extended to 9:00 PM on August 21 and 22, allowing visitors to observe high-precision professional demonstrations up close and interact and take photos with humanoid robots.

Beyond cutting-edge technology, the Guangzhou Expo also serves as a carnival for visitors to savor delicacies from across the country and experience diverse cultures. On-site, reporters observed that renowned specialty products from all over the nation are gathered in one place. A dazzling array of exhibits, including Guizhou batik, sweet and fresh Xinjiang fruits, and refreshing craft beer, has attracted numerous professional buyers and members of the public to experience, taste, and purchase. These rich consumption scenarios not only showcase the fruitful achievements of rural revitalization and industrial cooperation from various regions but also greatly enhance the visitor experience, vividly interpreting the expo's theme of "Smoothing Circulation towards the Future."

It is reported that this year's expo is not only a professional trade and economic event but also a tech and cultural feast open to the general public. During the event, visitors only need to make a reservation through the "Guangzhou Expo" WeChat official account to enter for free. Over the three-day event, the Guangzhou Expo will continue to leverage its platform advantages to promote inter-regional industrial cooperation and economic and trade exchanges, injecting new momentum into high-quality economic development.
