In August 2026, the China International Big Data Industry Expo is being held in full swing in Guiyang, Guizhou Province. As a premier global event in the big data sector, the Professional Exhibition Area of this year's Expo has become a concentrated showcase for the debuts and premieres of new products, technologies, and applications. Spanning a total area of 60,000 square meters and featuring five exhibition halls, the area brings together over 370 renowned domestic and international enterprises, jointly painting a grand vision for the development of the digital economy.

Computing power and electricity are inextricably linked, making green computing power a focal point of industry attention. At the expo, a "twin-hull" airborne power generation system has drawn the gaze of numerous professional visitors. Functioning as an "aerial power station," the system relies on helium for buoyancy and uses lightweight motors to ascend to altitudes of several thousand meters. It maintains a stable hover by connecting to a ground control station via a tether cable. It is understood that high-altitude wind energy resources are tens of times greater than those on the ground. This device captures the stable and abundant high-altitude wind, converting it into electricity and continuously transmitting it to the ground through domestically produced cables. This innovative technology not only features low energy consumption and flexible deployment, but also provides clean power support for high energy-consuming facilities such as computing centers. It truly realizes direct green power supply and the integration of energy and computing, offering a brand-new approach to breaking through the energy consumption bottleneck of computing centers.

In terms of computing hardware infrastructure, a new high-performance cabinet is on display at the expo. Reportedly, a single cabinet can house 640 AI computing acceleration cards, while the entire computing center is equipped with 100,000 AI computing chips, successfully forming a 100,000-card AI computing cluster. From the high-altitude airborne power generation system to the 100,000-card AI computing cluster, these core technologies and equipment are fully homegrown. This not only demonstrates China's formidable strength in computing infrastructure construction, but also allows us to deeply appreciate the Chinese wisdom and power behind building a solid computing foundation, laying a robust groundwork for safeguarding national data security and achieving independent and controllable computing power.

Beyond the underlying computing infrastructure, AI agents and humanoid robots are another major highlight of this year's Expo. At the venue, various humanoid robots have already integrated into people's production and daily lives. A robot named "Xiaowei" can precisely perform complex tasks such as traditional sugar painting, brewing coffee, and making popcorn according to commands, astonishing visitors with its agile robotic arms and intelligent interactive capabilities. Furthermore, in diverse scenarios such as smart food and beverage, elderly care and companionship, and power grid inspection, various robots are playing an increasingly important role, vividly illustrating how AI technology empowers a wide range of industries and allowing on-site visitors to experience the vitality and dynamism of the digital economy.

As the host of this year's Expo, Guizhou is a national hub node province for the integrated national computing power network. Currently, the local computing power scale in Guizhou has exceeded 176 EFLOPS, with intelligent computing accounting for over 98%. EFLOPS is the computing power measurement unit for current top-tier supercomputers; the computing capacity of 1 EFLOPS per second equals the simultaneous one-second computation of one million ordinary computers. Relying on such massive and efficient computing advantages, Guizhou is actively building a training ground for AI foundation models to foster new business forms in the digital field. In developing the big data industry, Guizhou has successfully transformed its resource advantages into digital economy development advantages by seizing opportunities early, turning a continuous flow of computing power into new quality productive forces.

At this year's Expo, a total of 60 cutting-edge achievements are making their global debut. Among them, the newly developed "Qianqing · Miaoling Foundation Model," unveiled after two years of research and development, is particularly eye-catching. Acting like an "AI drug designer," this foundation model can rapidly design new drug molecules for crop pests and diseases, drastically compressing the original one- to two-year R&D process to about two months. This makes green pesticide R&D faster and more cost-effective, fully demonstrating the immense potential of new computing power applications in empowering quality upgrades across all sectors. In addition, unlike previous editions, the word "token" can be seen everywhere in the exhibition area this year. As an innovative settlement method for computing power, "tokens" are changing the traditional computing power consumption model. In a unique Token Store, visitors can earn and spend tokens by participating in interactive games, which can then be exchanged for laser-printed pendants or used to generate exclusive AI songs, vividly reflecting the future trend of democratized computing power.
