Memory Chip Cycle Fully Reverses as Mid-Year Reports Show Surge in Earnings

Driven by surging AI computing demand and completed inventory digestion, the memory chip sector has entered an upcycle. Companies such as Longsys and Biwin Storage reported net profit increases of tens to hundreds of times year-on-year in their mid-year reports, signaling soaring industry prosperity and marking comprehensive earnings realization and cycle reversal in the memory track under AI-driven demand.

From a product perspective, AI servers continue to generate explosive demand for high bandwidth memory (HBM) and enterprise-grade solid-state drives, driving sustained price recovery in both DRAM and NAND Flash. Meanwhile, a moderate recovery in the consumer electronics market also provides additional support for memory chip demand.

Multiple institutional research reports indicate that the memory chip industry is currently in the ascending phase of a new prosperity cycle, with the supply-demand balance continuing to improve. As AI large model training and inference increasingly demand higher storage bandwidth, the need for high-performance memory products is expected to keep rising, providing sustained earnings growth momentum for leading industry players.
