The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) officially opened in Shanghai, featuring the debut of Huawei Atlas 950 and other super-node systems. China's domestic AI chips have advanced from isolated breakthroughs to systematic maturity, with competition shifting from single-card performance to computing cost optimization, full-stack software ecosystems, and integrated delivery capabilities, marking the industry's entry into an ecosystem-driven era.

At this year's conference, multiple domestic chip manufacturers showcased full-stack solutions ranging from chips to clusters. The core of competition is no longer limited to the computing power metrics of individual chips, but has shifted to system-level computing efficiency, software ecosystem completeness, and end-to-end delivery capabilities. The unveiling of Huawei's Atlas 950 super-node fully demonstrates the latest progress of domestic computing power in large-scale cluster deployment.

Industry insiders point out that this shift is profoundly significant. As the demand for computing power continues to surge from large model training and inference, improvements in single-chip performance alone are insufficient to meet practical needs.
