Over 100 precious cultural relics left China's northwest for the first time as the 'The Everlasting Black Water City' cultural exhibition opened in Shanghai. The exhibition features precious artifacts from the Black Water City archaeological site in Ejina Banner, Inner Mongolia, spanning Western Xia period literature, artworks, and daily objects, comprehensively presenting Black Water City's glorious history as a key Silk Road node.

Black Water City was an important urban site of the Western Xia dynasty. In the early 20th century, numerous precious artifacts were unearthed here, including Western Xia script documents, Buddhist art, and silk textiles, earning it recognition as 'one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.' This exhibition marks the first large-scale showing of these national-treasure-level artifacts from the northwest to eastern audiences.

Through multimedia interaction and immersive scene reconstruction, the exhibition allows visitors to experience the Silk Road's prosperity from a millennium ago. Multiple visitors expressed that the exhibition was breathtaking, providing a more direct and deeper understanding of Western Xia civilization.
