Taipei Palace Museum "Athletic Prowess and Sports" Special Exhibition Opens

The Taipei Palace Museum recently launched the "Athletic Prowess and Sports" special exhibition, showcasing the long history and rich connotations of Chinese traditional sports culture through diverse cultural relics.

The exhibition features 80+ sports-related cultural relics covering archery, horsemanship, martial arts, chess, and ball games, spanning from pre-Qin to Qing Dynasty.

The exhibition is divided into three units: "Martial Spirit," "Beauty of Competition," and "Joy of Leisure," presenting the essence of ancient Chinese sports culture through relics, images, and multimedia.

Notably, the exhibition specially displays Qing Dynasty palace archery equipment, Ming Dynasty martial arts maps, and Tang Dynasty polo figurines, many of which are being publicly displayed for the first time.
