The 2026 Busan International Buddhist Expo opened on August 6 at BEXCO's First Exhibition Hall and runs through August 9.
This edition features 355 booths with approximately 70,000 visitors expected over 4 days, setting a new record. The opening ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Busan, the head of the Jogye Order and other dignitaries.
The exhibition includes three themed zones: Meditation Culture & Crafts, Temple Kitchen Food, and Meditation Art. Supporting programs include monk ceremonies, meditation expert lectures, and temple kitchen cooking demonstrations. The expo was previously held successfully in Seoul and Daegu before relocating to Busan for the first time, building the "Buddhist Capital Busan" city brand.
