The 5th Middle East Tyre, Motor and Accessories Show (METAS 2026) opened on August 3 at Sharjah Expo Centre and runs through August 5. The exhibition brings together 51 exhibitors including 44 Chinese enterprises from 8 provinces, 6 from the UAE and 1 from Jordan. Products on display cover the full automotive aftermarket value chain including passenger and truck tires, alloy wheels, braking systems, engine components, commercial vehicle accessories, automotive electronics and complete vehicles.
The chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry attended the opening ceremony. On the second day (August 4), the "Shandong Quality Global Tour — Shandong Automotive Parts Industry Promotion and Precision Procurement Matchmaking Event" was held, inviting nearly 100 international buyers for one-on-one matching with Chinese exhibitors. The event is part of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce's "One Policy Per Industry" foreign trade quality program. The organizer confirmed that METAS 2027 will return to Sharjah, and a UAE automotive business delegation plans to visit Shandong in September for factory inspections and trade cooperation talks.
