The first Nigeria-Sierra Leone Trade Fair 2026 opened on July 31 at the Miatta Conference Centre in Freetown and runs through August 9. The fair brings together West African business leaders, government officials, manufacturers and investors to showcase Africa's growing manufacturing capabilities and strengthen bilateral trade ties.
Dr. Onyeka Nwafor, CEO of the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce Sierra Leone Chapter, said the platform will promote "Made in Nigeria" products and expand ECOWAS regional trade and investment opportunities. Sierra Leone's Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Alpha Ibrahim Sesay, represented the government at the opening ceremony, reaffirming support for regional trade and industrialization initiatives.
