The 63rd EXPO Rio Preto Agricultural and Livestock Expo opened on August 1 in São José do Rio Preto, a city in northwestern São Paulo state, Brazil, with free public access. This expo is the largest agricultural and livestock event in northwestern São Paulo and the second largest in the state by animal count.
The expo is held in two phases: Phase 1 (August 1-9) focuses on beef cattle, while Phase 2 (August 12-16) focuses on dairy cattle. Exhibitions cover judging and display of 11 cattle breeds (Nelore, Guzera, Tapuã, etc.), 3 sheep breeds, and 1 horse breed, with approximately 150 livestock breeders participating from across the country. Concurrent events include 5 auctions, the InterTechs Agro technical lecture series (covering topics such as equine industry, ecological agriculture, beef cattle farming, rubber cultivation, and beekeeping), and 6 rural entrepreneurship courses.
