ARCHIDEX 2026 (the 25th Malaysia International Building Materials and Construction Technology Exhibition) and the ASEAN Real Estate Conference (AREC 2026) are being held jointly at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysian Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming stated at the joint opening ceremony that ASEAN, as one of the fastest growing regions globally, requires public and private sectors to address rapid urbanization challenges through a People-Public-Private-Partnership four-party cooperation model.
Archidex 2026 brings together 860 exhibitors from 15 countries and attracts 40,000 professional buyers from over 100 countries, expected to facilitate 1.4 billion ringgit (approximately 2.2 billion RMB) in trade transactions. Parallel events include the Datum Architecture Conference, Smart Building Exhibition (SmarteX, in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt), and Digital Construction Technology Zone, covering cutting-edge fields such as BIM, artificial intelligence, and smart building solutions.
