The 2026 Asia-Pacific Digital Intelligence Economy Sustainable Development Innovation Week opened in Longhua, Shenzhen on July 30, themed Gathering New Digital Intelligence Power in Asia-Pacific, Building New Heights for International Cooperation. Hosted by the United Nations Development Programme and the World Innovative Cities Cooperation Organization, the event attracted nearly 200 guests from nearly 30 countries and regions, including international organization representatives, experts, scholars, and digital intelligence leading enterprises.
Philippe Scholten, UNDP Assistant Administrator and Chief Economist for Asia and the Pacific, emphasized that technology should serve development and inclusiveness must be integrated from the initial system design. Former Indonesian Ambassador to China Sudrajat called for adhering to the bottom line of Technology for Good, jointly building a safe, inclusive, and low-carbon Asia-Pacific digital intelligence development system. The event released the Top Ten Typical Cases of Digital Industries in Asia-Pacific Cities and set up a Shenzhen digital intelligence leading enterprise achievement exhibition zone.
