The 2026 Third Baotou Fluorine Industry Green Development Innovation Conference opened today in Baotou. Zhang Jufu, Deputy Director of the Inner Mongolia Department of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that Inner Mongolia fluorine chemical comprehensive production capacity currently reaches 1.8 million tons, with hydrogen fluoride capacity of 755,000 tons ranking first in China, forming a complete industrial chain from fluorite to hydrogen fluoride to fluorocarbon chemicals to fluoropolymer materials.
Baotou Mayor Meng Qingwei stated that among advanced materials industries, following steel, aluminum, rare earths, and crystalline silicon photovoltaics, the fluorine materials industry is expected to become another industry in Baotou racing toward 100 billion yuan in output value.
