The 2026 Intangible Cultural Heritage Aid Xinjiang Exhibition opened today in Shihezi City. This is the first time the main venue is set in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and the first time all 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China participate. The event brings together 651 representative intangible cultural heritage items and 549 heritage inheritors, covering 21 paired aid provinces and cities.
Themed Culture Enriches Xinjiang, Heritage Adds Splendor, the event innovatively creates 21 integrated co-creation exhibition zones. Five major sections include Dance and Music, Local Products, Science and Innovation, Traditional Learning, and Cultural Creativity, integrating digital interaction and VR technology to reimagine heritage scenes.
