WAIC 2026 Concludes Today: Over 300 AI New Products Globally Debuted

The four-day 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) officially concluded in Shanghai. Themed Smart Partners, Creating the Future Together, the conference gathered over 1,100 technology companies globally, showcasing more than 3,000 cutting-edge technology products, with over 300 AI new products making their global debut, and offline visitors surpassing 300,000. Livelihood AI applications became the core highlight: AI home smart assistants developed specifically for elderly living alone enable online appointment booking and utility bill payments through voice commands; AI-assisted diagnostic systems achieve 85% detection rates, reducing weeks of waiting to minutes; Xuhui Riverside autonomous shuttle buses now operate without safety drivers, responding to street hails; community smart inspection robots patrol old neighborhoods to automatically detect facility faults. Smart healthcare, home elderly care, and community governance projects signed during the conference will be piloted in Shanghai districts in phases. The conference conclusion marks a substantive leap from AI exhibitions to AI applications.
